Hemp flour is rich in all the same nutrients as our hemp seeds but has a stronger emphasis on the fibre content (over 60% soluble and up to 40% insoluble). Soluble fibres form a gel in the intestines that nourish good bacteria and can enhance the health of our microbiome.
How to Use:
Hemp flour is an excellent addition to your standard recipes, while adding a significant dose of bioavailable proteins. Try it in bread, pasta, and muffins! Hemp flour doesn’t rise because of its high fibre content and lack of gluten, so it is not recommended to bake with it alone; however, it’s great when mixed with other flours. For a dense loaf of bread, use a 3:1 standard flour to hemp flour ratio. If you’d like only hemp flecks in your food, a 7:1 ratio will achieve your desired results.
