Why Hemp?

Hemp is a natural, renewable fibre valued for its strength, breathability and durability. Compared with conventional cotton, Hemp can require less water and fewer agricultural chemicals, while its deep roots can help reduce erosion and support soil structure.

Unlike synthetic fibres such as polyester, Hemp does not rely on fossil fuels as its raw material and does not shed plastic fibres when washed. Hemp fabric can also biodegrade naturally under suitable conditions.

Where The Hemp Comes From

The Hemp used to produce THTC t-shirts and hoodies comes from Shanxi Greenland Textile Co., Ltd. THTC works with independent Hemp factories across Eastern China involved in finishing organic Hemp fabric products.

According to THTC, workers at these factories are paid above the living wage for their region, work nine-hour days, receive paid leave and have a say in how their business operates and how their labour is used.
